COG Personnel Development

How do you keep your price so low?
£250 for an all inclusive weekend training course, there must be a catch.
There's no catch.
There are two reasons.

Firstly, we believe word-of-mouth to be the best way to attract future business. Apart from our web-site there are no advertising or marketing expenses we have to recoup.

Secondly the venues chosen are quiet rural centres. The cost of hiring them for the weekend for courses of this kind is considerably less than would be charged for a city-centre location. The saving is passed on to you.
For Companies wishing more sophisticated surroundings, we can offer four star hotel and conference facilities. (Like the Waterton Park complex with swimming pool, gymnasium, sauna etc. for approximately £425 per person.)

What is included in the price and what extras are there to pay for?
The answers are everything and nothing respectively.
The price quoted will include all accommodation, lecture notes, presentations, exercises, outdoor activities or retreat. Meals will include cooked breakfasts and evening meals and a buffet lunches.
The final price will be determined by location, training modules and outside activity chosen.

I'm not a very active person, do I really have to go rock-climbing?
No.
There is usually a range of activities available. Your choice may be rock-climbing, abseiling or paint-balling. Similarly you may opt for a ramble through the woods or a longer hike to places of local interest.
You may equally decide to try your hand at painting or simply sit and read for a couple of hours - the choice is yours.

I have been on severaltraining courses before, what makes this one so special?
Dead easy, the three"P"s - People, Places, Programmes
The people running the course are all experts in their own field, firmly committed to the modules taught and lifelong learners themselves.
The places have been chosen for their quiet scenic location. With the minimum of external distraction we can follow one of the main aims of the course, learn how to work smarter, not just harder.
The programmes are tailor-made, not "off-the-peg". You will have chosen the individual modules yourself from the extensive list available. The activity module is an integral part of the weekend and again will be chosen by you to reflect the abilities and preferences of the participant.

What transferrable skills will I take home with me?
Whichever options are chosen, all participants benefit from a break in the countryside with fresh air, good food and healthy exercise. Interpersonal and communication skills will be encouraged and developed.
The options available include:dealing with stress, conflict resolution; negotiation principles; problem-solving analysis; memory enhancement techniques; relaxation.
All these skills are transferrable and will be useful in almost all working and personal environments.
